Who is responsible for your information?
Abigail Hardman Counselling is responsible for handling enquiries received through this website. For privacy questions, please email abigailhardmancounselling@gmail.com.
What information does the website collect?
When you submit the contact form, you are asked for your name, email address and an optional short message. This information comes directly from you. You can also choose to email Abigail instead of using the form.
Please do not use the contact form to send medical information, diagnoses, symptoms or other sensitive details. This is an initial-enquiry form, not a confidential clinical intake service.
Why is this information used?
The contact details and short message are used to respond to your enquiry, answer general questions and, if requested, discuss arranging an introductory call.
To be confirmed by Abigail: The applicable UK GDPR lawful basis for responding to initial enquiries, and a separate Article 9 condition if any special-category information is collected in other settings.
Who handles the information?
Contact form submissions are sent using FormSubmit.co to Abigail's Gmail inbox, operated by Google. The website itself is hosted using Cloudflare Pages. Relevant providers may process technical information to deliver their services.
To be confirmed by Abigail: Any processing outside the UK and the applicable safeguards, based on the providers' current data-protection terms.
How long is information kept?
Enquiries should only be retained for as long as necessary for the purpose for which they were received.
To be confirmed by Abigail: The specific retention period or documented retention criteria used for unanswered, completed and ongoing enquiries. Any records relating to therapy sessions should be addressed in a separate client privacy notice.

You can raise a privacy question or request by emailing abigailhardmancounselling@gmail.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
